Research Interests
My research interests are based in population studies and human-environment interactions. Specifically, my focus is on the socio-political and environmental dimensions of human migration, and the interaction between movement and climate, land cover and land use change, conflict, etc. My aim is to conduct geospatial analysis leveraging remote sensing and GIS technologies to help fill knowledge gaps of population dynamics in lower- and middle- income countries (LMIC) and inform robust policy solutions. Research Interests
Research interests include leveraging remote sensing and GIS tech to study vegetation dynamics and climate for conservation and sustainability efforts. Combining a background of biology and ecology for geographic research of human-nature interactions in hopes of contributing to the implementation of the UN's SDGs for a more sustainable world.

Research Interests
Aaron’s research interests lie in human-environmental systems. More specifically, regarding the spatial interaction of phenomena in climatology, hydroclimatology, vegetation health, land cover and land use changes. Using geospatial tools such remote sensing and GIS, he hopes to be able to contribute research to the discipline by investigating relationships at the intersection of physical and social systems.
Previously, his musical background initially led him to geography to study human and cultural dynamics. Upon being introduced to technologies like remote sensing and GIS, his curiosity directed him toward human-environmental interactions and physical geography.

Research Interests
Currently my research interests are broadly based in complex human – environmental interactions, climate, sustainability, socio-economic development, and policy. I utilize remote sensing, GIS, and other geospatial tools to better understand dynamic relationships between landscapes, people, and climate.
My undergraduate research was focused on using object based image analysis to track the changes in settlement and agriculture patterns over a 20 year period before and after the advent of community based natural resource management in a southern African savanna. I also looked at various relationships between different climate modes and precipitation variability for this region.
In high school, I spent a year as an exchange student in Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh, India. In 2007, I received a US State Department Critical Language Scholarship to attend a Hindi Language Institute in Jaipur, Rajasthan, India. Prior to receiving my bachelor’s, I worked as a legal assistant and clerk for geologist providing litigation support to the State of Oklahoma. It was through these experiences that I realized that I really loved doing environmental research, leading me to the University of Louisville’s Department of Geography and Geosciences.
